sure, you can trade it back damaged and then trade it back repaired, and maybe thats a better way of doing it.

That's what I'm doing in P&N on PBW. However, I don't charge for the repairs (covered under syndicate ship owner's insurance)

I definitely DEFINITELY agree here. You should be able to repair at allied bases with a Military Alliance or better.

This makes so much sense it hurts.
