After years of playing the game SP, I don't think I have ever seen this random event targeting a lone commander.
Ok, sorry to have cast a doubt on someone. But that's the goal of the thread too: to ask questions about what's happening.

Speaking of it, there's a lot happening these turns. How come nobody talks about it? For fear of losing a slight advantage? For me, discussing the game (even in general terms) is part of learning more about it.
