Italian OOB errors
unit 440 12.7 M2HB (HMG) range 28
unit 461 AA version has range of 40 which seems more likely.
Weapon TDA MO 60L
Would it be possible to include MTR in the name so know what it is. Used by engineers I think.
Weapon 80mm Folgore RG could not find info on but seems a bit to good for a RG
Accuracy 8 (I Think) range 18
FIAT/OTO 6616-A Armoured Car, have mentioned before but think 20mm cannon should have more ammo. Its same family as used in Marder 1 though obviosly storage/turret design limit ammo, lost site that gave ammo carried.
This OOB has the biggest exp morale modifiers I have noticed. The "elte" units may be considerably better than regulars but might want a quick look. Maybe reduce global exp by 5 or adjst slightly.
Commandos +25 +25 Spetsnaz at +20 highest I know of.
Several at +15 +15 Bersagliera etc
Paras other elites seem marginaly above norms to.
Just pointing out as noticed given Commandos weapons & usage not realy questioning them or others its more the Bersagliera are they realy that good.
Also a thought you are revieving carry capacity for some SAMs from a previos thread, namely Patriot. As it stands some cant move but others the capacity may be to low (no idea) Several fit in Medium or light trucks & while the odd one might making them heavy truck/prime mover transportable only might make sense.

Can you tell that a the guy who originally worked on the OOB was a serving member of the Italian armed forces ??
The reason the Italian elites are higher is because the overall Moral / Experience ratings tend to be a bit lower than some of the others and the idea was to make the elite Italian units equal the elite units of other Nato nations. However, that was done some years ago and I believe there may have been some adjustments to the Morale/ Exp levels since then. So I will investigate this further
HOWEVER..... as this shows there may be more than just the obvious reasons a formation may be given + or - mor/exp . DO NOT "assume" that because a formation may be set up higher in MOBHACK that's it's higher than other units of it type when used in the game
Nation A/ 70 base exp + 15 elite = 85
Nation B/ 80 base exp + 10 elite = 90
That still puts Nation A's elites 5 points below Nation B but just looking at it in MOBNack makes it seem they are being given way too much
If Nation B goes to 75 base experience ( as Italy does from 1990 on ) and you take +15 for an elite force that may have the exact same experience as the Nation B elites that +15 puts Nation A on par with B
Capisca?

It seems to me that he had no idea, as I already pointed out in other thread

well as man is not God,he can make mistakes, but why don't you just push up your skirt sleeves and do make a brand new one,a correct one,or just correct and improve the existing ?
I bet it's easier to criticize and do not do a thing than just spend
time,a lot of it,doing reserach, trying to do the best I can, finding images, converting them...c'mon my friend,it's up to you to do a better job,a lot of time has gone since I did it,a lot of things have changed in the Italian military establishment as well, there is a lot of nice new hardware to put in...you are welcome if you do it
I will be gratefull, since I have no time to do it myself again

Re: Italian OOB errors
82VAM,
FULLY understand your time issues, however if I may, I came across some information to indicate that there is an updated version to the ARIETE C1 called either the ARIETE C2 or II. the issue is if the information is correct the FCS and TI/GSR was/is the major upgrade done. I understand it has the Galileo Avionica TURMS II system which would put it on my list of tanks (See the MBT Thread.) that need to have their TI/GSR values increased to 50. Can you provide any information to back mine up regarding the ARIETE?
Thank You for your consideration of this matter.
Regards,
Pat

Re: Italian OOB errors
Hi Pat,
as I stated before, there's a lot of new hardware and stuff,as well as changes in organization overall, into the Armed Forces in these years, wich needs to be updated
About the MBT Ariete, all I know is that the step II,due to budget shortages, would not happen at the moment, just an upgrading of the systems as you pointed out,so it will still be Ariete C1,as long as I know,it's not easy to get informations like these over here unfortunately...

Re: Italian OOB errors
82VAM,
Sorry for the long delay but life keeps on side tracking me away from here. Even CINCLANTHOME has mentioned that a week ago and trust me that's scary!?! Anyway back to the ARIETE C1, your information does match mine to a limited system upgrade but not to the full C2 level which I forgot to mention also included up gunning to a 120mm L55 main gun. What I called the TURMS II is in reality the TURMS/T which is the upgraded version of the original TURMS as referred to in the ref below which has not been updated to reflect this (And they do updates in the PROJECTS Section.). So my feeling is at this point to have someone else prove me wrong here and add it to the list of tanks to have it's vision increased to 50. I should be able to establish a decent baseline start date from when the CENTUARO recieved it's update to the same system but with the full package, which by default as with the M2A3 BRADLEY AFV (As associated and having recieved the same new FCS as the ABRAMS SEP V2.) should also have it's vision increased to 50 also.

I hope you had a chance to note the team here has added a handful of new toys to this OOB in the last 3-4 years.
Thanks Again!
Regards,
Pat
