You can look at the mod files to manually look at the mod's heroes but this requires learning some know how.

The Mod Inspector is a wondrous tool and can be used to load generic mods you have on your computer.

The Dominions Wiki is a good source for looking at base game heroes but it can be tricky to find out what heroes a given nation has.
