Due to the size I would agree & a few play testers.
As objectives are fairy large probably need a core of something like 3 marine companies 1 of which is mechanised.
Also allows for variety as China has lots of choices in support units from paras to TDs.

Most maps could also be tilted so coast runs top to bottom making roads runways etc easier & allowing minor mods to make them suitable for use in regular battles.
Get max benefit out of map makers time that way to.

A few pictures of initial possible locations, gave seawalls a bit of thought
Land should possibly be mainly level 1 along with the seawalls so you cant see over them. I might do the real slow process of asterisking them down slightly to about height 6 instead of 10.
They should possibly be mainly unpassable terrain.
Represents the clutter of shipping containers on them & the fact vehicles cant unload onto without a crane
