Default Question about removing barbed wires...

I was going to remove all barbed wires about one map. I launched Editor and chose map. Then I found that "removing tool" menu (which included dragon's teeth & mines too). I chose hex which had barbed wire and pressed that remove icon. Nothing happened. But if I added one wire into some another hex, I got it removed easily... Then I tried to use "opponent" side's unit menu (as I don't know if only 1 nation uses barbed wires). Same thing. Nothing happened.

Is this bug or do I have to use some another way to remove wires?

Edit function seems not to work here... Update:I recently loaded that map with barbed wires into Battle generator. Believe me or not, there was NOT any barbed wires in same area where I saw them about 20 minutes ago:O... Hmm this is interesting. How they "remove" themselves in Battle generator but not in Editor???

Did you load it into an assault scenario? - engineer stores can get stripped off if it is not an assault. Sometimes they get stripped, but the icons remain. Engineer stores as I recall, are not map data - they are scenario data, and so saving maps with mines etc often dont work as intended.

Sometimes the icons get left on the map, but the separate minefield array does not - so saving such maps is a hit or miss prospect at best. I may look into map saving to ensure that any save of a map is entirely stripped of any engineer store icons, i.e. it is a bare map.

Which editor are you complaining about - the separate map editor programme, or the one in the game's scenario editor?. Its not clear.

Also - a copy of the map in question would be handy, so if you could zip that up and attach it to a post that would be useful.

I just checked same map in Editor. There's NOT any barbed wires though I saw them yesterday:P... Hmm any possibility that code removed them after leaving map editor? Anyway, bug or not, everything seems to be ok now. So, no need to post map here anymore?

Probably not, since the code is now set up to strip engineering artefacts on a save. you likely had an old map saved off before then.
