I still keep thinking I want to do something from a book I once read.
Basically aliens with 2016 tech invade Earth in 1943. Needless to say the tech advantage allows them to dominate whenever and wherever they wish ... BUT ... they have a limited amount of forces and high-tech ammo. And being the middle of WW II the major nations are armed to the teeth.
It would probably have to be a campaign with attrition being the key.
