The thing, to me, is that any and all, of them could have been my dads mates (mostly about 40-50 years old)) C. 1985. That was just how they all, without exception, really were.

Later, when I gave up soldiering, I worked for the Torres Marine Pilots, in the Torres Strait on an Australian East Cost Prawn Trawler (89 days at sea first trip) and later on Whitsunday Sailboats. My ex wife's family were Royal Navy and my son is joining the Royal Navy...
