Welcome to the club. Last year it took me hours to install the patch 'cuz unlike Windows XP pasting the patch over the WW2 folder didn't work with Windows 10. After numerous attempts to direct it by changing its destination to ...\Games\Shrapnel Games\etc. it finally dawned that there are TWO Shrapnel Games folders, one nestled inside the other. After typing in the additional one (...\Games\Shrapnel Games\Shrapnel Games\etc.) it worked perfectly. Sometimes it takes awhile to learn new tricks
