The bad ammo check on the Russian OOB gives

Unit 853 BMR-3M/MA weapon slot 2 - Ammo Issued to null weapon slot

The key here being "slot 2" which is a null weapon (0, null, nada, zilch) with 8 superfluous AP ammo.

I presume you looked at the valid HMG in slot #1, but did not count the ammo bins for weapon slot #2 - which is what the tool is complaining about, not the perfectly OK weapon in slot #1.
