As a side note the new "Force 2030" is essentially a re-implementation of the WW 2 "Defense Battalions" (on more of a reinforced company scale). And since anti-ship missiles and refuel/rearming F-35Bs ON THE BATTLEFIELD are not implemented in WinSPMBT I can't see any reason to create the significant number of units/formations needed to include an ISLAND DEFENSE ONLY force which will be implemented in only one of the four USMC divisions (3rd, an not even 100% of it) and a couple(?) independent formations (Hawaii, Guam, ?).
If some scenario designer really wants to create a battle involving one that's what the editing tools in the game are for.
