"Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has been awarded a $329 million contract to provide 175 Protector Remote Turret 20 systems for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Amphibious Combat Vehicle 30 (ACV-30). This acquisition is part of the ongoing effort to replace the aging AAV-7A1 vehicles. The RT-20 turret offers a modular design, advanced network capabilities, and remote wireless operation, improving operational flexibility. The ACV-30, with its 30mm remotely operated cannon, enhances amphibious combat capabilities. This modern platform supports multi-platform engagement and provides added internal space, boosting mobility and operational efficiency."
