It's not entirely implausible that a small race/empire would destroy their own system if they were the 'fierce' type who would rather die than be conquered, and someone was in the process of conquering them. Wait till the huge invasion fleet that you know you cannot defeat arrives... BOOM! Were they named Shofixti?  |
