Re: OT-Some New games
I looked at that "EVE: The Second Genesis" game... some very interesting points in their storyline... such as:
Quote:
...scientists predicted that EVE would close in a few decades. So men and equipment were ferried to the other side, setting up bases in the system the wormhole opened up in. The system was soon christened New Eden. The two gates at either side, called the gates of EVE, had to be exceedingly huge, because of the unstable nature of EVE and the unknown distance between them. They were the largest single structures ever made by mankind and the building time was more than 200 years...

WOW! not only do they have warp engines, but they can do a neato temporal warp trick so they can take 200 years to build something to utilize something that will not exist in a few decades!
(edit) - Hmm, it seems I got caught up in that little ambiguity, and forgot to say what I thought of the concept. Definitely looks cool, and I definitely will not be playing it. I have no interest in flunking college, especially with the amount I'm paying to go. I will probably be keeping my copy of SEIV at home when I bring a computer here, too.
