Conquista is still going on?

5 people still standing in Conquista out of the orginal 12.

There is a spare slot for any one who wants it. The Lint Navy - Currently in 4th place. NOTE - Not a Gold Game.

IF - The Vorlons made it to round 61 before surrendering to me. Their Home World still stands.

So sad to see my former empire so poorly run...

I forget why I left that game, actually.

For what it's worth, the oldest continually running game still currently being played on PBW is an affair called "Us against the Computer". It was started in June of 2001. It's currently up to turn 180 and appears to be getting about a turn every other week recently. Not sure if it's had faster and slower periods during it's history. That is likely. That's usually how it happens.

On the other hand a game I am in that started on August 4th is already up to turn 94.

But that is slow compared to some of the games I have been in and seen. I had one game where we were averaging 7 or 8 turns a day for a couple weeks. And I have heard of games getting in 25 to 30 turns a day. It all depends on how dedicated the players are.

It also helps to have just a few players. Typically the fewer players the faster the turns.

On PBW we usually play 3-5 turns/day until turn 30, then 2-4 until turn 50 and later 1-2 turns per day. Depending on how busy the day is, we sometimes manage to get 8-10 turns in the starting period of the game.
And the best way to do it is to set pbw server to 'after Last player upload' because in that case as soon as all players upload their turns you get the new turn and don't have to wait for the time-out.
