Re: Formulae of Victory
Fyron,
As you know I have been very naive and violated most of those ideas from the git go.
Would you mind sharing your early reaserch path?
For exampl starting with turn 1:
Propulsion > Mines > etc...
thanks.

Re: Formulae of Victory
My research path varies from game to game, depending on starting conditions, and my mood at the time of playing the turn.

Re: Formulae of Victory
I've finaly realised my mistake. I always wait to the highest wanted level of a tech to be researched before starting producing war ships to defend and to destroy. Once i do, the enemy would always have 2 times more than i do.

In ancient times, those skilled in warfare make themselves invincible and then wait for the enemy to become vulnerable. Being invincible depends on oneself, but the enemy becoming vulnerable depends on himself. Therefore, those skilled in warfare can make themselves invincible, but cannot necessarily cause the enemy to be vulnerable. Therefore it is said one may know how to win but cannot necessarily do it.

Re: Formulae of Victory
I used to be diseased with a virus called "retrofit craze" or something. Bascially don't wait to build ships until you've got the highest tech. realize you will have old and outdated ships next to your new wonders. Retrofit slowly not all at once.
