$500,000 mark surpassed by SEIV

WAY TO GO PEOPLE!
You can't help but wonder what all of us have brought to the table to help this game. The mods, the ship sets, the forum, all of it to make SEIV achieve this level of sales.
That is fan dedication to say the least. I guess Aaron knew this all along, and that is why he has supported this game so well.
I sincerely hope, and believe it will happen, see SEIV reach the $1,000,000 mark.

12,500 copies sold ain't bad at all! And i'd guess about half of that's from word-of-mouth promotion. Anyone know what SEIV Classic hit in sales?

I thought that amount also included SE4 classic. If those numbers are just for the Gold Version, then it's more amazing then I thought....

And, Atrocities, what decided ME to actually get ahold of SE4/Gold was, this forum, and the community here.
Lots of other games have fan-made mods or maps; lots of other games have websites or the like where ou can go to find opponents, or games to join, and so on.
But IME, very few games have the sort of supportive, welcoming-to-newbies community SE4 has built.
The mods, those are nice. The ability for even a computer-almost-illiterate end-user like myself to work at MAKING their own mod, with a hope in hell of completing the project, helps. Having a site like PBW helps. The dedicated, ongoing support of the game's publisher and designer helps a lot.

But they all take a definite backseat to the simple, basic existence of such a wonderful, friendly, helpful, just-fun-to-become-part-of COMMUNITY like this one.
