I have (but haven't played in a while) MOO2, am waiting for MOO3 (asked my mom for it for Christmas - now I have to wait 7 weeks instead of 3!
but hey I save $50 if she actually gets it for me
.. though I might end up buying 2 more copies, one for my brothers (I have my own computer) and one for my "girlfriend" (don't know if we're actually at that point in the relationship yet...)), and I downloaded MOO1 (hey, they talk about it all the time on the Infogrames forums and no one's shut the threads down!) but the sound doesn't work (even with VDM-Sound!) so I haven't played it much (wanted to hear the old music!!!)... Played the demo of Stars! and wanted more but never bought the full Version, though moddability would be nice... will they EVER release Supernova?!?
Dammit, just give it to Shrapnel and at least you'll get SOME sales! You'll never sell any if you just hold out for a "major" publisher! I'm sure Shrapnel would take it even though they have a 4X already - they have both Runesword and Dungeon Odyssey!
Anyway, done ranting about Stars! for now... maybe I will go out and buy the original if it's not still too expensive (see my shareware rant
)... those are the games I've been playing... so even though I've listed a bunch, I haven't really played any of them lately. Oh yeah, Starfleet Command, but that's not 4X, it's RTS - but hey, it's sci-fi!
