I\'m Back!...Help!
Question please...! Game is moving along well. Only 1 race anywhere near me and we're buddies. I'm not militarily strong but am research and colonizing like crazy. Everyone is happy. I colonize a planet and the next turn they rebel and form their own world! What do I do? I have no troops and no warship nearby? How do I handle this...or rpevent it with a reload!?
Thanks anyone!

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
was this a 1 time event. if so then sounds like you encounter a random event, in which case it was just luck of the draw. if it is happening more often check the happiness of your colonies, are you colonizing in systems with the other race that will make your population unhappy depending on what form you chose (peaceful, bloodthirsty, neutral).

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
If your colony has rebelled, it is more than likely gone. However, you could issue them a demand to surrender, and see what happens.
If you had a warship and troops, it would be an easy effort to retake the planet.
Also, even though your neighbor is nice, he will not remain so. Chances are he is doing intel attacks on you. Build a few intel centers, and start counter intel operations. DO NOT intel attack him, just prevent his or others attacks.

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
Actually here's another question I've been trying to find the answer for. If I create a space station, how do I get it where I want it? DO I have to create it in a space yard? I was also under the , incorrect I guess, assumption that if you had a spaceyard you could create 2 ships at once? If you can how? Can't sem to do it. Satellites...do you just build a cargo-satelite carrier and deploy?
Thanks!

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
Bases are static, hence you would need a SpaceYard ship. For this you would need at least Cruiser size.
If you build a Base Space Yard it can construct ships and units, but only at about 50% rate.
To deploy sattelites/mines you would need a ship with appropiate launching component (sattelite bay/mine bay). Design a ship with this component, construct it. Once you load appropiate cargo you could launch them, limited with the launch-per-game-turn stat, which can be seen from component's description.

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
Both the base and satelites can be made and launched from a planet. Base needs a shipyard on the planet.
Once you build a ship with satelite bay components, you can retrieve from orbit and then launch elsewhere

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
Well...I'm not a moron...but I'm geting overwhelmed. I think my research is ALL over the place...trying to figure out what leads to what. I just turned off one of the CPU opponents, I'll play it as well and just do this as a learning tool, then restart later in the week. It's tough figuring out what to build in world with only 4 or even one facility! If I can ask..is there any way to INCREASE the amounts of facilities allowed on a planet? That would help!
Thanks!

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
If it is a domed colony, you have 2 options. 1, build an Atmospher Converter (requires Planetary Utilization 9 or so, IIRC). 2, get some population of a race that breathes the atmosphere of the planet in question. Move some of them onto the planet and move all of your population off of it. The dome will disappear, and you get 5x more facility slots. But if it is a non-domed colony, you can do nothing to get more facility slots.

Re: I\'m Back!...Help!
Short of modding the game files of course!
BTW, since you seem to be having so much trouble with the tech tree, Planet Utilization requires level 1 of a Theoretical field called Planetary Engineering.
How about doing a search on the forums for "tech tree viewer", I know someone wrote one...
