Minesweepers
How do minesweepers sweep mines.
Is it in order of size? That is are Mines1 swept first? Then Mines2? Then Mines3?
Or is it random?
A somewhat similiar question is "When a ship takes damage in a minefield, do mines1 'hit' first, then mine2 etc or is it totally random?"

Re: Minesweepers
From earlier Posts i've found the following. Sweepers sweep mines, not warheads (hence a headless mines still uses a sweep slot) in the order they were lain.
The warheads do damage like they say. And that damage is abosorbed by any non-sheild poitns, so armor can help a ship weather a mine field.

Re: Minesweepers
Does anybody know if multiple warheads on the same mine can hit different ships?
IE: if you have one mine in a sector, with 10 modded warheads on it, and 10 ships fly in without sweepers, will one ship take all the hits, or will most of them suffer light to moderate damage?

Each mine can hit at most one ship; a hit -- against no matter how insignificant a ship -- eliminates the mine outright, period.

Due to recent legislation pushed by the Save-Outer-Space-from-Cosmic-Radiation-Group, all ships are required to travel with shields inactive in any area likely to contain minefields, especially warp points.
