Hmm, I don't see Atlantis "easily" taking land provinces. R'lyeh, maybe. I am not an expert R'lyeh player, but even since Dom 1, Atlantis has always been my favourite nation.

Anyway, I hope for a bloody battle. Maybe the underwater players ally to scourge the lands of those evil beasties. *hint, hint, nudge nudge* Who was playing Atlantis again?

The HOF is still set to 10!? I thought wanted the big one, considering that there are even more than 10 pretenders around...

well, i think cainehill must have gotten me drunk Last night or something, since i vaguely remember agreeing to exchange the mighty and fearsome spiderfolk for some ragtag bunch of unwashed forest-hippies

so i'll try to figure out a pretender today and upload before tomorrow.

edit: i actually prefer the normal Karan, at least in the present situation. lake access is nice, but not especially troubling in my mind.

I also prefer "normal" Version. Otherwise, one of the water nations is likely to end up dead in the water (in the middle of the land)

Since I know Karan's strategic layout much better on the normal Version, that's what I vote for, too.

Not if we're playing Dry Karan, surely? Then they'll lose access to - six? - water provinces. Or worse, one of them will get dumped in an isolated landlocked lake, and end up scrabbling for a share of the land provinces instead.

I've changed the HOF to 15... I thought I had done that already, but I hadn't. Thanks for pointing this out!

I've kept the Karan map, because it is my impression that that one has more votes, but as you don't care to update the actual vote, I can't be sure without tedious counting. So, if anybody feels strongly about this, please do the counting for me

We're missing 3 players currently --- because I will kick anonymous players before starting. I will start the game in 36 hours regardless of status... that should be plenty of time for anybody.

Maps:
(only the two runner-ups)
(lots of votes missing)
Karan: Karacan, Chazar, Tauren
Karan dry Version: Daynarr, Turms, Cainehill

Nations, crosschecked with server:

Vanheim: Mark the Merciful (not uploaded)
Marignon: rabelais (not uploaded)
Pangaea: wolfkinsov (uploaded)
Machaka: cainehill (uploaded)
R'lyeh: Karacan (uploaded)
Ermor: Cheezeninja (uploaded)
Man: archaeolept (uploaded)
Mictlan: Vicious Love (uploaded)
Abysia: Pickles (uploaded)
Caelum: Chazar (uploaded)
Tien chi: alexti (uploaded)
Pythium: Turms (uploaded, but anonymous)
Arco: esben (uploaded)
Jotunheim: KroolDeath (uploaded)
C'tis: liga (uploaded)
Ulm: Daynarr (uploaded)
Atlantis: Biteme (uploaded)

Uploaded:14
Uploaded by anonymous: 1
Not uploaded: 2
Free: 0

P.S: Thanks for uploading the Karan-dry! Making a copy is just the right way, yes I don't mind the extra megabytes, and it makes tracking so much easier...
