Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow game? *full and running**
Well, I'm in, if you don't mind my total n00bity. I've only played two multiplayer games thus far, against even ranker amateurs than myself.
PbeM sounds like the logical thing to do.

PBEM is ok for me, but that would certainly disable quickhosting for getting it started...
Anyway, I'd like to play for Caelum if nobody else objects.
What map?

I would also like to join --- perhaps trying my hand at Arco again?
Using my server would be fine IMHO --- especially if everybody agrees to turn AI before quitting and the game is on quickhost.
Just say the word and I'll take the first slot that I see...
As for the map let me propose urgaia... let it be bloody!

Or we could ask Norfleet for hosting and a nice snarky name like "We're Not Dead, Just Veryyy Slow". I suggest this because it can take quite some time for one of your slots to come open, Esben - a sign of its popularity.

Well, I didn't want to hog your server for a year. But if you're in yourself, well, that'd be a great solution.
I already play two pbem games at the moment, and even as a player, pbem games tend to add micromanagement. And I rather like quickhosting, given that the time interval is big enough.
I am comfortable with Urgaia, and would choose the squishies if anyone else plays Atlantis (else I'd propose to stick to land-based nations to keep it bloody). My land-based choice would be Marignon.

There are quite often free slots, actually, they just doesn't Last very long.
Look for Glacier on the server. Since noone managed to propose another map it is current urgaia. We can probably change it :-D

If you do switch to a larger map could you fit 12 not 11?

Re: MP Game - Anyone interested in a *really* slow game? *full and running**
Well, we could fit 12 into Urgaia just as easily as 11, since some people will probably start with a capital right next to theirs anyway - a real brawl. (It's possible to manually fit 11 or 12 into Urgaia so that there's a province between each capital, but random placement is unlikely to manage it well.)
Erm - Urgaia is probably just a _bit_ small. Cradle of Zen (or regular Cradle) would be better, as would Parganos, or Karan, or Inland, or Arduria, or hey! Theater of War!
Or we could go with the 17 province test map, if we _really_ want a brawl.
