Twist fate as a bless is usually best used on units not likely to get hit. A classic example is a MA Ermor Shadow Vestal, which comes with ethereal and high defense, add W9 for max effect.

Also good examples are Oceania's knights of the deep or Kailasa's yavanas.

If units are blessed with twist fate and get hit, does another bless afterward renew twist fate?

No, sacred units are already blessed and cannot be blessed for a second time.

There is something worth mentioning here. Little amount of damage sometimes goes through the twist fate without wearing it down.

Also remember that Twist Fate only protects from regular HP damage. Things like the freezing effect from Falling Frost still get through the TF even when they deflect the HP damage.

If a unit has twist fate and mirror image up, will the first hit drop the mirror image?

Twist Fate nullifies the first damage that the unit would incur. All effects that avoid or mitigate that damage should act first.

I tested this with S9 blessed Helhirdings beating up indies.

Mirror image(MI) is lost when damage is taken. Twist fate(TF) negates the first damaging attack on a unit. There are also ways to take damage while keeping TF and losing MI (taking the 1 damage from repel for example.) I do not think you can lose both to any one event.

In the typical situation of being attacked with both MI and TF on, if you are missed (or do not take damage from the hit I suspect) you keep both TF and MI. If you are hit and would take damage, TF is lost and MI is kept. The next attack that hits and does damage removes MI.

Does anyone know the mechanics behind mirror image making you more difficult to hit? I don't think it provides a percent chance to avoid an attack that would have otherwise hit. I base this on the archer from the "Band of Heroes" random event being able to hit mages with A3 mirror image with most of his shots.

Mirror Image provides a small defense bonus and auto-stops a set number of melee attacks, and it drops if you take any damage. It has no effect on archery, so archers are a natural counter to Glamoured troops.
