Default Re: army orders

Another trick which I use for when I can't use a 3rd province due to movement restrictions etc, is to have two (windowed) instances of Dominions running. What I'd then do is this....

I'd start Dominions up as normal, set-up my troops already in the target province how I want them. Then press 'End Turn' (to save the army placing), then go back into that turn and open the army screen again. Then I'd run another instance of Dominions, and in that one I'd go to the army screen of the army I am moving into the target province. Then i can switch back and forth between the two Dominions I have running to see how the two army set-ups fit together.

It's far from perfect, but it is a good way I find of seeing if two or more converging armies fit together properly or not. Also useful to make sure that if you are trapezing/teleporting in a buffing mage from far away, that he is setup to be near/surrounded by the units he is meant to be buffing. (For Legions of Steel casting for instance)

Although always make sure that you get the saving and quitting right for the two Dominions you have running, as you need to remember that they are both using the same files, and therefore you can't save changes to both games if they are both running at the same time. So one of the games has to be quit, while the the other one can be saved. With the point being that one of them is only running to reference, while you are using the other one to do (the trickier parts) of your turn with.
