Re: star wars mod help
What is the error message you had when it crashed (if any)? Is there an error message when loading the game, or starting the game? AI error Messages aren't uncommon, but they do not crash the game. It might have been the dreaded range error (when numbers get too high), but it doesn't seem too likely either.

Re: star wars mod help
1. when in New game and trying to add existing race error reads unable to load race (then goes on with the files pathing). if i try to create my own race i have to pick one of the races pics from SWii and when i go into the game i cannot create vehicles (que is blank)
2. when i get the quick game to work, i get AI construction vehicles errors (alot of file paths) with alot of different vehicles, sats and fighters, at the end of AIs turn. then error invalid index pops up. game crashes.
ok the first two errors are with me cut and pasting Anti-ship Warhead info from different mod.
just to get it to load, without me cut and pasting that file the loading process locks up with unknown value "ships\sat" for Weapon target in record "Anti-Ship Warhead I-III"
do you guys use the SE Mod launcer or just cut and paste the mod info into the game?

Re: star wars mod help
My guess on your first problem is that this mod requires you to take a racial area, such as Rebellion or Empire (it should be a safe guess for a Star Wars mod). Taking them would be compulsary to have hulls, components... specific for the race in question.
I cannot answer to your second question; invalid index isn't an error I know of. I am downloading the mod and will have a look, if only for curiosity sake; I have always had an interest in making things go awry. AI construction errors happen when the AI isn't made to play the mod, and they shouldn't prevent you from playing the mod.
Edit: I have no problems when using the mod here with the Modlauncher. My Version is 1.91, and I have downloaded the mod from here. Is it the same for you? If so, check your components.txt file for a double empty line. When you made your modificaiton in this file, you may have added such a break of two lines or more.

Re: star wars mod help
You must extract the file you have downloaded to [SE4 Directory]\Star Wars (or any other name). Then, you should see several directories, such as Data, Empires and so on. You need to extract the mod to its own directory, as otherwise it will overwrite the files of the standard game. Likewise, something such as [SE4 Directory]\Star Wars\Star Wars\Data will not work.
Then running the Modlauncher should display the Star wars mod (or the name you have given to this directory), and the game should use the files of the mod. By the looks of it, the mod can be played with the AI, but I cannot say how well the AI plays it.
