Re: Post 1.84 beta history
Ok, just d/l the new patch. How will affect the mods I play? Will I have to wait for patches to the mods, or can I play them as is?

Thanks, sorry for pestering, just want to make sure I get this correct...(the logistics of figuring out and keeping straight which games are which Version is not something I am looking forward to..)
thanks again,

[/QB][/quote]That is correct, EXCEPT, currently the game owners do not have access to change the game Version once the game is created. You will need to post a message to the admin requests forum on PBW and one of us will switch it for you.

*Probably* they will be ok. There is nothing in the new Version I am aware of that breaks any mods. In fact he tried to be careful about that specifically. However, it's always possible that some change will have unintended consequences. It was difficult to beta test all the changes in the stock game. It's impossible to check all the mods out there and guarantee they are 100% compatible as well.
Try it, and report any problems immedietly to the modder in question so they can get a new Version released.

Re: Post 1.84 beta history
Grrr...
Stuck at work for another ten hours. Working fourteen hour days means no time after work for anything but sleeping. Must. See. New. Patch. In. Action.
I need, at least, to see the new data files... just to look at them...
Can't install the patch without the game, fair enough, so that means....
I'm going home early today.

Geoschmo Ok, thanks, Geo. I'll try a few mods tonight to see how they react to the new patch.

Re: Post 1.84 beta history
It's of course nice to see a new patch released, but since this is the Last I hoped it won't be released yet. Too many unfixed bugs which I've posted to MM.

That usually happens with new patches. The Version checking routines of SE4 are very, very picky.

Re: Post 1.84 beta history
What, no one's noticed the announcement of the new patch at the Shrapnel main page?
