Default Toasting Undead - Part 4

Ahhhh, relief!

Now it took us a while to bring this into play (we may need to work on our scripts a bit), but here is a required component to any serious Fire Based Army - Fire Storm - just as it first takes effect:

Default Toasting Undead - Part 5

The beginning of the end (including a little "gift from heaven" - not exactly fire based, but even Arch Devils and Heliophagii need a little variety now and again):

Note the paralyzed Tartarian Monstrum in the lower center - he eventually sees the light (with a little help from the Tartarian Chains), and joins up with our side.

Here is a screen grab of what was going on in the Abysian rear for most of the battle (at least once the devils left to attack the Ermorian rear). Osirus (our Son of the Sun Pretender) and Pedoseion (Father Illearth) were primarily working over the Doom Horror, though another Tartarian Monstrum weighed in for Ermor, along with a bit of chaff. Eventually, Osirus gets the Doom Horror to see reason (again, with a bit of help with the Tartarian Chains), and the Doom Horror joins up with the Abysians. Here's the shot of the rear area:

Default Toasting Undead - Conclusion

Well, when it was all said and done, the mighty Abysian army defeated Ermor in all three phases. We lost about 30 devils, and sadly we lost two excellent mages (both our nature relief/charm casters, one quite well equipped). We gained a Doom Horror and a Tartarian Monstrum, although both will need GoR, if we want them as commanders. All losse occurred in the second phase. The storming of the castle was successful, with no losses on our part, and insignificant losses for Ermor.

Ermor lost their death gems for the GR castings (I'd guess 5-6 castings). In their second phase attack they lost their entire army, all comanders (including perhaps 15 Tartarians, mostly non-commanders). In the castle storming, the lost insignificant quantities of undead.

That's it for this report - stay tuned for another exciting battlefront play by play by Abysian Nation Public Broadcasting!

Whow, nice pics, Thufir, thanks.

Don't keep us in suspense. Who won?
Thanks! As you probably figured out by now, you caught me in mid-edit. The results are now fully posted, along with a few more screen shots.

Very spectacular battle! I guess the big difference was that Ermor relied on brute power while Abysia had massive spell support. I can't wait to see how this war turns out.

only thufir left for his turn

Yeah that battle was only mildly successful for me but all it really was just death income loss which I have an extreme surplus of. The only thing I really lost was the doom horror which I never had one before and really wasnt impressed with it besides its 10 map movement.

The reality is that this is going to be an extremely long war. I can going to use it for a lot of experimentation since I have the luxury to do so. I really do like Thufir's pheonix pyre/relief combo which works incredibly good.

My only complaint is that whoever wins the war wont win the game.

I never thought of Ermor being a nation of optimists - learn something every day!

Amazing!

Losing 13 Tartarian troops plus two Tartarian commanders plus a Doom Horror is "mildly successful"?! Not to mention that your enemy took control of the Doom Horror and one Tartarian. Let's see the investment in the Tartarians is 150 death gems, plus some equipment (not a lot, we admit), and the Doom Horror is 100 astral. I'm not sure how you would value healing the Tartarians of their afflictions, but surely that should be worth something.

If you call losing: the province w/ death income, +150d, 100s, + misc equip, +healing costs, +giving Tartarian and Doom Horror to enemy "mildly successful", I'd hate to hear what you call a failure!

Edit: Oh, and we almost forgot the cost of the GR castings - how many GRs were there anyhow? 5? 6?

Well, seeing as you initiated the attack, who would you blame for your situation? Personally, I haven't given up hope of ultimate victory (although one does wonder what is going on over there in oh-so-quiet Mictlan-land), but I would say that taking second place to Mictlan would be a substantial improvement to rolling over and playing dead to Ermor's attack (as apparently you expected me to do!).

I never expected you to roll over and play dead. I attacked you because I had no choice. You were quickly rising in power and if nobody attacked you then it would be too late. The same scenerio may happen for Mictlan since everyone is leaving him alone and he will be unstoppable. And I only GoRed the doom horror. The losses I took werent really anything big to me because yeah it seems like a lot of gems but it isnt much compared to my gem income and my hoarding.

Anyway, I have a serious matter. The current turn is it possible to reset the clock because I am going to stale. I got called in early for work so it is impossible for me to do my turn =[. I have never staled before in any game but I got screwed in this situation. So is it possible Thufir to reset the clock? I can do my turn late tonight when I get home from work so it will quickhost anyway because I will probably be the Last person.
