Re: Scenario reviews
Bunkers can be succesfully engaged with rifle fire, it creates suppression and occasionaly a round gets through the firing ports. Same with general HE bombardment as well.

Re: Scenario reviews
By coincidence I just replayed the next scenario, Peleliu day 1. After completing it, I saw that the designer rather cleverly made "fake" landed planes by reskinning fortifications. I never spotted most of them during playing though. I wonder if there is some kind of "visibility" stat that could be edited here, because the game obviously treats these as earthworks or bunkers that have been camoflaged. I think this would make the scenario(s) a bit more spectacular.

Re: Scenario reviews
Scenario designers can do really odd things which produce totally weird results.
If the "fake" plnes have no crew then they are likely not to be spotted unless a unit randomly occupies the hex and flames them from staying there a turn. Abandoned wrecks dont get spotted much, IIRC.

Re: Scenario reviews
I dont think these are actual "wrecks" though, he changed bunkers to display plane icons instead of their usual graphic. They are also edited to have no armor. I was just wondering if they somehow could be made easier to spot by editing some attribute as well.

Re: Scenario reviews
Try editing the size to something big then?

Re: Scenario reviews
So "size" controls that? In that case it might be worth looking into if you want to fix stuff on this.

Re: Scenario reviews
Normally I recommend using Trucks for "fake" landed aircraft. I don't see the point in using bunkers but in this case, the ones I checked had the amour reduced to zero.
The wide variety of ways to handle an issue is what keeps this game "interesting" and yes, the size of the unit can be easily changed in-game using the Edit Unit Data screen. NORMALLY you would not want bunkers spotted from a distance unless it was a fortress. A G4M in the game is size 5 and an A6M would be 3 but it's a minor detail as they are "non-combatant"
What I find interesting is this editing feature seems to be unknown to even experienced players
