Re: Rock the Cradle--Noob Only! (RUNNING)
I hate to double post, but can we turn the game speed back up to 36 hours? This waiting **** is getting old, I want to play my next turn, and 36 hours is more than enough while accomdating international players.
Personally I'd like to see us go to 27 hour hosting intervals.

Would have no Problem with it, but I'm only subbing the doomed Shins...

It occurs to me re-reading the previous part of the thread that this might be a llamaserver error and not a game admin thing, in which case I generally indicate that I hope we go back to 27 hours when the llamaserver stops hiccuping.

OK, let me know when to pull the trigger on setting the hosting interval to a lesser amount.

Maybe 36, but please, not less than that. I'm a busy guy, and I just started a second game.

yeah, I reckon this has been longer than a 48 hour wait, and I am getting a bit impatient. Lets say if next turn drags on this long, I'll change it to 36.

Abysia just assassinated one of my commanders. I was going to attack Pangaea, but it looks like Abysia done declared war first.

36 hours is bad as it means host time shifts by 12 hours every time, so people with a schedule(work, school, etc) need to find different times to do their turn each time, instead of reserving a certain period of the day whenever its available to do their turn each time. we're late enough in the game to warrant 48 hour turns anyway, heck some games would be on a 72 hour schedule at this stage in the game...

I have to agree with this... what's the big rush for 36 hours? I was always under the impression that, as the game goes longer, the turn time increases, not decreases. I think we should go back to 48 hours, and if there is a particular person who always waits until the last moment, we'll all gang up on him .

I don't understand this reasoning. You would need to submit the turn ASAP, but if you do, you could still play the turn at the same Time of day with an 36 Hour shedule.
Sometimes you would need to wait for the next day, but you could do it, if you want.
