Re: mods ?????
Installing the mods is rather easy. Kinda self explainitory. Have you ever looked at the data files and such contained in the SEIV folder?
If you have, then you'll quickly begin to understand what people are talking about as far as altering, moddig and such.
Good luck.

Re: mods ?????
I guess my problem is I would like to try these mods out, but still be able to access the original game without these changes. Is there any practical way to go back and forth from modded to unmodded Version of the game.
Will these mods be compatiable with the 1.21 patch?
Thanks!

Re: mods ?????
What works best for me is to install the game, add the 1.19 patch to it and then make a zip archive of the install. (About 40 megs with max compression.) Then I can edit and change and do what all I want and if something gets really messed up, i just delete SEIV and unzip my backup. Back to square one.

Re: mods ?????
The MOD-Pack 1.01 only alters the races, nothing else. We have included a backup of all the orginial files so you can reverse everything with a simple drag&drop action from the backup folder to the se4 folder.

Re: mods ?????
The next patch will allow you to install the mods and switch between them without touching the original SE4 files. If you feel uncomfortable overwriting the original files just wait a little while until the next patch comes out. It should be pretty soon now based on some other Posts here.
It is actually fairly likely that the patch will introduce a few problems running some of the current mods and the authors may need to update them.

Yep. I would suggest to all those who use mods, mine included(DavesMods11.zip) to install the new Versions after any patches for SE4 come out. Like I said somewhere else, I will have a new Version of my mods (DavesMods12.zip) shortly after SE4 is patched again.

Re: mods ?????
I should add that I think the mods that only affect the races (like Mephisto's) are the ones least likely to have compatibility problems with the next patch. That said, if MM adds new data settings to the race files or changes any of the current ones significantly, all bets are off there too (a small price to pay for improvements and added functionality IMO).
