Point Defense Question
Is there any method to how PDs choose their targets? Closest? Largest? Most damage?

Re: Point Defense Question
They shoot anything in range.
So whichever missile or fighter stack is moving at the moment is the one they'll shoot at.

Re: Point Defense Question
As I see it, the first target to move into range is targeted first. So I suppose it would be called nearest. But there are differences, if the target is stationary, then the ship moves one space, and begins fireing.

Re: Point Defense Question
At least for their reaction fire, the order they fire is the order their targets move. I think that's seekers first, then fighters and drones.
For fire during their own turn, assuming they didn't opportunity fire in the previous turn, they target nearest (the first target to come in range as soon as their unit moves a square) and then, I assume, whatever the unit's strategy's settings would have it choose.

Re: Point Defense Question
the PDC, to the best of my knowledge, are still somewhat dependant on the strategies - they still shoot some of the nearest targets but you can decide whether its a seeker of a fighter or a drone by playing around with the strategy
