Your Favorite Kind Of Game Set Up
What is your favorite way to set up your games?
Single Player:
I prefer to set low tech, use FQM D- Dense Midlife Large Galaxy, Warp points anywhere, no events, Good planet starting with good starting resources. One planet low tech start with high tech cost, using 5k settings.
For Multiplayer:
I do much the same with the exception of starting points. I normally set that to 2k.

Re: Your Favorite Kind Of Game Set Up
I'm partial to large Cluster sectors, with many AI players. If the game does a good job in spreading the players out, each empire has a "core" Cluster that is more easily defensible, a base from which to expand.

Re: Your Favorite Kind Of Game Set Up
Currently it is AIC mod, about 10 AI with low bonus, no neutrals, one medium HW start, medium atypical-sidereal galaxy. No warp points.
First ~150 turns I enjoy the SimCity-style game, then some barabrians open warp points to me and burn my cities

Re: Your Favorite Kind Of Game Set Up
Havn't played AI since I started PBW, a couple months ago. But it was TDM/FQM, 255-system, some kinda FQM clusters, not-all-warp-point-connected (then keep generating map until all systems are connected), low tech, low tech cost (think that'll change the next time I play AI, havn't played one low cost PBW game yet), single, large, good homeworld, 2000 racial, 20 non-neutral AI opponents, high difficulty, medium bonus.
PBW cant be whatever, I havn't yet started my own game.
