OT- Crazy Day
So there I am driving along the hiway in our lovely cold weather ( -20 C ) And I see the wall of taillights up ahead. So I slow down and then I see the firetrucks and ambulances etc...
I am on a 6 lane hiway divided by a Metre wide 3 metres high cement wall... slowly driving by a bad accident on the other side... 2 small compact cars and a 18 wheeler truck. Well they are getting ready to pull one of the cars out from underneigh the transport truck. On the other side there is not really any stopped traffic because there is another accident further on down... WEll anyways it opens up and all the cars and trucks race down...
I am still inching along on the other side almost past the neck cranckers... And well its a blur but the next thing I know. ( about 30 metres up from the other accident ) A transport truck smashes into the concrete divider ( on the other side ) and just blows up... ( there is a van caught inbetween all this ) The wall smashes apart and huge chunck of concrete come flying across taking out the car infront of me and 2 other cars... they wipe out then the front of the truck falls back to earth and lands about 10 metres infront of my car.... Just at that moment a part of the truck goes under my car and some how cuts my belt so I lose all power to the cars steering ac etc... Which causes my car to start to overheat... so I am now toast with a horrible accident all around me.... Trapped on the hiway for 6 hours..... -20 C.... Good thing is that noone died. And most of the injuries were minor.
Well that is my crazy day.
I hope yours was better.

Tesco, you've failed to give us some important information!
Are you alright?

Re: OT- Crazy Day
I've got rooms to rent in Colorado. It may get cold, but it's dry and sunny (even when it snows).

Glad to here that you are alright, Tesco.
It might be time to visit your family in Melbourne, nice and hot down here and we could hook up for some TCP/IP SE IV.

Re: OT- Crazy Day
It was in the 70s F or so around here today... something like 21 C. But when would you ever get time off from work anyways?

Re: OT- Crazy Day
Wow. And mostly minor injuries?? Sounds like a few people probably came close to dying, had their car been a few meters away from where they were.
Probably better to stay with Fyron if you go to SoCal. His room is most likely bigger, and I already have a friend sleeping here because she's having major roommate troubles... Not much space left. Plus I'm not here for large portions of the day...
But yeah, the ~25 C days and the ~15 C nights are very nice.
