Default Re: Warp Point damage

Since the AI has such a hard time with unstable warp points,I lowered the damage point value on them from 200 to 50.

Default Warp Point damage

OK, seeing my empire was trapped in the sector with one lone damaging warp point, I did some experimentating with Armor and warp points.

Here's my observations:

  • For normal large damaging warp points. 160 points of armour will get you through unscathed (I used 4 Armor III's on my ships to get through). You will NOT RECEIVE ANY DAMAGE (or at least the chance is VERY SMALL). These points are more solid blue.
  • For the large unstable warp points that are fluxuating (sorry I don't remember the exact words they use in the game). These are the ones that are kind of hazy looking, not as solid blue as the normal damaging ones. The damage appears to be random. 160 points of armor will get you through about 50% of the time. 200 points will get you through about 80% of the time.[/list]
As I play more, I'll try to add to this list about unstable warp points. Next I'm going to see what size of the warp point does.
