I started my latest game 3 days ago, and I just won.
Here are my ending stats:
Turn: 427
Population: 1016B (I wanted to get to a trillion)

Systems: 160
Colonies: 851
Research: 491269 (Was higher, but I scrapped a ton of research facilities to make room for Monoliths.)
Intel: 351005 (same here after all the AI enemies surrendard)
The reason I am bummed is that I wanted a long Lasting game, but I managed to out research the AI thus I was able to shut down warp points, build star killers, and deploy them throughout enemy territory with impunity.
I then systematically began capturing planets with as much ease as walking from a room to a room. The AI (self defeating) had no defenses other than Satalites and a few mine feilds.
The bigger AI's I simply blew up a few stars, and they surrendard without firing a shot.
THATS what really sucked.

You see, I had a fleet of nearly 500 ships, and I had them massed for an invasion of the Eee space, the only AI that was large enough to give me a fight. The Eee only attacked me with fleets no larger than 16 ships. Mostly single ships. I sent them a "Surreneder or Die" message, expecting them to simply ingnor me, but nooooo, they gave up!
So I spent 50 turns colonizing the galaxy. I still have something like 400 planets still un-colonized. But I got board, and wanted to come read up on the forum.
Hey, has any one gotten to a trillion in population yet? I made it to 1016 Billion.
