Thanks, SlapBone! I appreciate you letting me know! I posted about the game in my signature on pretty much on all the forums, and I was wondering if anybody even noticed or cared from the Shrapnel "regulars" that the game was coming.
There will be stats, a fair amount, but not to the point that it becomes "work". I want it to appeal to a wide array of people, whether they read the baseball line scores in the paper every day or not. If you've played the "Mogul" line of sports games, Shaun Sullivan's Puresim baseball game, or Championship Manager and enjoyed any of them at all, this game should appeal to you. The main difference being you don't have to necessarily like sports to enjoy the game. It attempts to blend aspects of a strategy game and a text-based "sports sim" together, and that's fairly unique among games I know of.
The cool thing I added recently is that it will keep track of your career record as a manager: your wins, losses, championship appearances and wins, etc. I also just completed the new feature where you can bet money on other matches in a season day, and almost done with a "Hall Of Fame" feature for warriors I recently decided to add.
It's about 70% complete now, and almost ready for Alpha testing!
