Which bless effect is better?: Regeneration or +4 Armor?
I was experimenting with both +9 Nature and +9 Earth. I wish I could have both but that's not practical, considering it would make myself really weak in other areas.
In any case, from my experience it appears to me that the +4 armor keeps my armies alive far longer than the regen, which is only +2 HP per round.
Any people have different results? Any thoughts?

It completely depends on what your blessable units are. If they have buckets of HP then regen may be better. If they have low HP, then regen isn't as useful. Also bear in mind that the difference between berzerking and reinvigorating can be key for your blessable mages.
Anyway, I've been playing Ulm with a 9earth 9nature great mother for the iron faith theme... those silly knights are really butch! Of course I had to sacrifice my productivity to get it, but its fun, though maybe not a good idea for competative play, research and site finding are a real @#%!$%...

Hmmm. You seem right. My Niefel Giants are untouchable with regen. But regen does jack sheet to my Heart Companions.

Re: Which bless effect is better?: Regeneration or +4 Armor?
I'd say it depends very much on the units in question. Battle vestals or serpent dancers get very little benefit from regen/beserk because any hit is likely to kill them, but gain immensly from +4 prot. However, niefel giants, black hunters, or black templar, are all very likely to take small amounts of damage that they can regen from and go beserk, and +4 prot isn't as helpful for them. Especially the templar...it won't even go up 4 and 28 isnt that much better than 24 in practice. However the earth reinvig becomes important for these same units.
It is wonderful to make high nature black templars and watch archers hit them for 1-2 damage which they regen, and just watch them go beserk.

The regeneration also cuts down the probability of getting afflictions even if they are wounded, which is another neat bonus for those hefty Niefel Giants that you'd really like to keep healthy given their cost.
