Void Summoning, GoH and Luck
I see people mention casting Gift of Health to erase afflictions reaped by summoning -- just wondering what setup you use for this, since Nature skills are VERY hard to come by with my setup. Do you use your pretender for that, and if so, which/how?
Also, I have only seen 1 hint in one thread that void summoning is affected by "Luck" scales; havent seen it affect my summoning so far, whereby I have seen a huge difference in Cross Breeding. Can anyone confirm / deny Luck scales in summoning? Thanks in advance

GoH needs 5N. Start with a 1N mage (or empower one to 1N). Then empower the mage to 2N. Forge a Thistle Mace, which gets you 3N. A Moonvine Bracelet will give you another +1N (now you have 4N). You can either forge a Treelord's Staff for +2N (for a total of 6N), or a Ring of Sorcery that will give you +1 to Nature + Death + Blood (for a total of 5N).

Re: Void Summoning, GoH and Luck
In my current AAR I just did/am doing as Arryn described, I think that this is the most efficient way to get to GoH.
Concerning luck and void summons I have seen no difference between luck +/- 3 , but since I haven't played very many games till now this could have been random.

Re: Void Summoning, GoH and Luck
OK thanks. I saw someone mention luck helping, but others of different opinion. Looks like the question is still undecided.
So... where do you get all the Nature gems for empowering?
Oh btw you cant carry Treelord's staff and a thistle mace at the same time.

Oops, my bad, but the staff, after replacing the mace, still gets you the necessary 5N for GoH. As for nature gems, nature sites are often found in woodland provinces, though my favorite technique is to take the capitals of AIs that have nature, such as Pythium Serpent Cult (3N).

Re: Void Summoning, GoH and Luck
The irony there is that Pangaea doesn't get as much benefit from Gift of Health since they have those recuperating units. It isn't useless to them, obviously, but it isn't as important to them as it is to other nations.

Re: Void Summoning, GoH and Luck
If you find some druids, they are good base mages to use, since they don't have to be empowered. Or, some mage who has a random pick. Empowering from 1->2 is rather cheap, while empowering from 0->1 is expensive.

I don't think it's ironic at all, Poor Pangaea. ;/
