Default when modding a unit......

is it possible to assign disease as a starting affliction... I know that some units can arrive with random afflictions (the Ermor ones).

I know I can give a unit a disease cloud effect or disease based weapons like touch of leprosy, but Im creating a mod where one of the unit arrives dying but I cant seem to see how that might be possible. Any of you mod experts out there assist ?

Also, I was hoping to reassign some ingame unit graphics to other units too. I cant see any unit TGA's anywhere in the dom directory, any ideas ?

All help gratefully recieved.

Spirokeat.

I'm no expert, but the disease cloud is probably the best option you have currently.

Quite possibly the most annoying thing about the current modding capabilities is that you don't have access to the game's image files. Not directly. I believe someone has extracted them all, though. Check the 'unit image/ID' thread.

I don't think there's a way to give someone disease in a mod.

For a map or scenario, though, you can give them an item that will give them disease (e.g. Fever Fetish).

Ditto what Scott said about images. And the images so far don't include the attack image, so you need to go through the process of getting or making those.

Damn thats annoying, you would have much greater versatility with the mods if you could mix and mess with the games graphics.

The disease cloud will automatically disease the unit if it ever went into battle I suppose but for the theme of the mod I wanted a certain tier of magus to arrive diseased when purchased. Guess I will have to play around some more, though the lack of graphical change may snub my attempts as I like things to look right.

Thanks for the replies anyway guys.

Spiro.

Maybe if all of us who would like to be able to specify old unit graphics for new modded units, send a polite and positive email to Illwinter, they will add that ability. It sure would be nice.
