Sound bug?

Hey all. I've been playing SE:4 just fine for a couple weeks, but recently I've been getting static pops w/ the sound (music, sound FX, etc.) A re-install didn't help. Any thoughts?

Does this happen with other games? If so, it might be your sound card or your speakers/headphones. If not, it seems odd that it's both the sounds and music, as the sounds come from .WAV files while the music comes from the CD...

It doesn't happen on any other game. It is strange, as first it was just the FX, then today it became the music as well... curious.
