Disappearing Affliction?
I've just recently had a pretender fighting off a bunch of indy barbarians, and during the course of that fight got a "weakness affliction". To my surprise, the affliction disappeared after combat. I was not running GoH, nor did I have the Chalice, nor was their any character capable of healing in the province.
During that fight he was running regeneration, which I understood to reduce the risk of getting an affliction, but not to heal an existing afflictions. Or is that the way regeneration is supposed to operate in terms of affliction risk reduction - any affliction you would've gotten during combat shows up, but if the regenerative affect kicks in, it then disappears at the end of combat?

To cover the Last stupid question: your pretender doesn't have recuperation, does he?
If not, this isn't how it's supposed to be, so it sounds like you have discovered a bug. Is this in the 2.13 Version or 2.12?

To cover the Last variation of the Last stupid question: immortality also heals afflictions.

w/ mixed games there seems to be the possibility that battle replays will be incorrect. this may well just be an instance of that.

Hmmm, well I'd respond viciously to all these stupid questions, except for the fact that I did indeed make a stupid mistake.
I've been swapping pretty freely between 2.12 and 2.13, and I believe I was looking at 2.12 result in a 2.13 client. This looks like one of the flawed combat playbacks that Johan was saying would result by using 2.13 client on 2.12 files. Sure enough when I pulled up my 2.12 client and reexamined the combat playback, no affliction at any point in time.
Sorry to waste everyone's time
