random encounter mod possible?

Someone tried to do this but hasn't yet been successful. I don't think this is something that can be customized.

Something that happened to me as a random event once, was that one of my colonies rebelled and became an independent Race...in other words, an whole new race just popped in on one of my planets

It really sucked because it was very early in the game (only about 6 planets colonized) and it was one of my really good planets...

try having a star go nova in your system early in the game.

Hey all..is it possible to add a new random encounter into the game?....I am purchasing SE4 within the week and Im curious if I can add things like this that are'nt already in the game..I know i can find advanced tech on planets I colonize but can i say add a derelic spacecraft to be discovered in a random system I enter?..stuff like that?..thnx
