Wrong Spells in Battle Replay - very weird
This is a strange one - enough so that I've view the results in 2.12, 2.13 and 2.14, and all of them have the battle going very strangely.
I've got a Tuatha Lord, equipped with some miscellanous stuff (Lucky Coin, Enchanted Spear, the Ark), and also the Soulstone of the Wolves. The script for the Tuatha is Call of the Wild x 5. (Technically I guess this is a bug, because the in-battle spell is Howl; CotW is Ritual.) The other side has a lot of commanders, including one with the Sword of Augelmer (grants luck to all his guys).
I hear the howl sound effect; it seems that some wolves appear, but not as many as there should be... But the spell that is reported as being cast is Mistform, Barkskin, Thunder Strike, Ghost Wolves, Ghost Wolves. Mistform and Barkskin show up on the Tuatha; I see the Thunder Strike going off, and as mentioned, I'm not seeing the quantity of wolves that I see when I have a Jotun with the same script ( Jotun Herse, so no spells of his own ). Even with the Jotun, I hear the howl, but it doesn't display "So-and-so cast Call of the Wild". But a _lot_ more wolves show up for him.

Re: Wrong Spells in Battle Replay - very weird
I did notice using the fenris pelt that i got fewer wolves than i expected/remembered. Perhaps it has been nerfed, or perhaps its just that the other times have been in woods...
the Howl should be automatic - you can't cast call of the wild in battle, so the AI is just choosing what it thinks are appropriate spells.

Re: Wrong Spells in Battle Replay - very weird
One question:
Between the two battles, were they both in Forest Provinces or was the Jotun one in a Forest Province and the Tuatha not?
Fun Fact: Howl is double strength in Forest Provinces.

Mountain, as well as Forest, province double the number of wolves appearing IIRC.

Re: Wrong Spells in Battle Replay - very weird
Ah! Yep, Arcoscephale's capital was a forest, and the other wasn't.
So - is the Call of the Wild / Howl from the Soulstone of the Wolves automatic? I know the Fenris Pelt gives an automatic howl at the start of a battle, but thought the Soulstone required the spell to be scripted. (After all, why else would it be on the spell selection list, albeit the wrong spell?)
Then again, having on the boots of the planes puts Teleport in the spell selection list, which to the best of my knowledge isn't going to do anything.

Re: Wrong Spells in Battle Replay - very weird
I think it adds the spell to both the combat and the special commands lists. I don't know why, but it seems to do so.

Re: Wrong Spells in Battle Replay - very weird
Soulstone of the Wolves casts howl automaticly every turn in battle and allows a commander to cast call of the wild ritual for free.
