OT - The Incredibles
Got to see Pixar's newest "The Incredibles" Last night. I wasn't disappointed. You can see the difference in a PG versus G outing by the Pixar crew. There were a lot of great moments and I would highly recommend it to those who like comic books. My only criticism is that part of the plot seems to be lifted from "Astro City" by Alex Waid.
All in all, worth the time and money.

Re: OT - The Incredibles
I enjoyed the movie immensely! Fantastic dialogue, great voice acting (Holly Hunter was a scream), superb sound, and a great soundtrack. I'll be going back to see it again soon.

You're right. I was thinking of Alex *Ross* doing fab covers (as always). That's why I should look before I speak.

Re: OT - The Incredibles
Finally saw this great movie Last Friday night. I hadn't thought about Astro City, but now that it's been mentioned, it does kind of remind me of it. Even if you're not a superhero or comic book fan, I would highly recommend this movie. Pixar outdid themselves this time. I was surprised it was a 2 hour movie, but the time flies when you're watching it. They even have people dying, while not gory or even visual, it's something you don't often see in modern non-anime animated movies. I hope they plan on making a sequel. That would be awesome.

Does anyone else think that the backgrounds on Syndrome's island look like Myst?

The chase scenes looked like the forest moon of Endor. But I think that was probably intentional. The parts around the water did look Myst-like though, yes.
