Is there a way to force the computer to follow
your scripts?
I just had an air queen overwrite my fog warriors and instead cast arrow fend agianst a huge horde of undead. So instead of winning the fight I lost my largest army.

Did she have enough gems to cast fog warriors? It requires 3A gems to cast and I think you may need an extra air gem for the 300 fatigue since you die over 200 fatigue. Also, it requires A5 skill, so if she is only A4 you need an extra gem for that.

She did I checked. She is A6 with 4 gems. She is scripted to cast summon storm power then Fog warrios then spells. Instead she cast arrow fend and wind guide, even though Ermor didn't have 1 archer and neither did I.

You can't cast Summone Storm Power unless there is a storm. Since the first spell in the script was uncastable, she chose another one. Used up a gem to cast Arrow Fend, leaving her without enough to cast Fog Warriors the next turn.

Re: Is there a way to force the computer to follow
Eh, regardless, sometimes it ignores the scripted commands. Example : I just had a commander scripted to cast Marble Warriors. Had the gems, had the earth magic level, and nonetheless, the AI casted Weapons of Sharpness instead.
It was underwater - but the spell doesn't say it can't be cast underwater. Shouldn't have been because the AI decided it didn't want to use gems either - my army of 50, 2 commanders, went against an army of 130 with 6 commanders.
Admittedly it was 50 assorted demons, going against 130 longdead, but I don't think the AI is supposed to make "qualitative" judgements on the foes.

Re: Is there a way to force the computer to follow
yep, clearly something is messed up with the AI spell casting decisions. On the advice of the above poster I removed summon storm power and had her scripted with just Fog warriors. Next two battles she correctly cast fog warriors then the 3rd she cast arrow fend against another undead horde which is oh so helpful.
There should be a way to force the AI to always cast the script given.

Arrow Fend could theoretically help against Javelins of Ashen Empire Velites... They are arhcers as far as the game is concerned, and if there are enough of them, the AI might choose to cast Arrow Fend.

Still shouldn't override a scripted spell, unless the AI thinks the scripted spell is useless or impossible. Especially since Arrow Fend uses gems anyway.

Re: Is there a way to force the computer to follow
There should be boxes beside the spells
so you can hook or unhook the spells
that the commander should be able to
cast, would'nt that be nice?
