questions on a couple of problems
Ok suddenly the desktop Icon the game placed on my desktop wont open the game.
this is the one that brings up the options menu.
i see an hourglass, then nothing..
so If i start the game from the main executable. I get "path to game has changed" error messgae when trying to play pbem turns.
anyone know what might cause this?

Re: questions on a couple of problems
Delete the old desktop Icon and put up a new one using gameoptions on your desktop. It's a two second job. You should aways start the game from GameOptions
I have no idea why this would occur but something has hiccupped in your computer. It's Windows...anything is possible

Re: questions on a couple of problems
"using game options on your desktop"
you mean create a new shortcut from the game options in the main folder I assume?
well it was doing the same thing,
or giving me me an error message.
so that wasnt an option.
guess i will try a new install.
thought someone else may have had same thing.
thanks for reply.

Re: questions on a couple of problems
That most likely means you moved the folder the game was installed to then. Did you copy the game to say another drive, perhaps?
Windows will search the original drive - that is the hourglass as it looks. The search will fail if the drive was different.
What was the path on the desctop icon (right click and select properties)?. Is that now different from the path to the main game exe?.
If so that will also be why your secure PBEM games are giving path fail errors, as it assumes you are trying to cheat by playing the turn in a different folder (path).
Cheers
Andy

Re: questions on a couple of problems
I did not move any folders
game is where it has always been, same desktop Icon.
I assumed i was getting that message because i was trying to launch the game from a differtn "starting point"
probably like Andy said, just a windows thing..
:-)
