Default New Improved Point - Defense Cannons!

With these changes, point defense and missiles become rather interesting...

For Seeker Weapons
-Baron Munchausen's defense and armor level-ups
Weapon Seeker Tonnage Structure Formula := 30 + (Get_Empire_Tech_Level("Armor") * 2)
Weapon Seeker Defense Modifier Formula := 30 + (Get_Empire_Tech_Level("Defense Systems") * 2)
-AngleWyrm's speed bonus level-up
Weapon Seeker Speed Formula := 0.04 + ([%Level%] * 0.0015)

For Point - Defense Cannon
Supply Amount Used Formula := 1
Weapon Space Min Damage Modifier Formula := iif([%Range%] <= 70, ([%Level%] / 5), 0)
Weapon Space Max Damage Modifier Formula := iif([%Range%] <= 70, ([%Level%] / 3), 0)
Weapon Reload Rate MS Formula := 300 - ([%Level%] * 2)
Weapon Bolt Speed := 0.08

The result is hard-to-shoot missiles, countered by a point-defense that fires a whole lot of weak shots, like maybe a vulcan chain gun. The major advantage to this is that the PD Cannon can take on multiple volleys much more successfully, rather than dumping everything into the first volley.

Test results
At level-5 missiles and cannons, three missile destroyers (3xMissile each) vs three point defense ships (3xPDCannon + 1xMeson Beam).
The missile destroyers win, but it takes them a while to chew through the point defense.

Versus fighters, a point defense ship with six PD Cannons can win vs four small fighters, with the loss of shields and armor (good shields and armor).

One question, what level of combat sensors where on the PD ships and on the fighters?

I would hate to see the PD level get to or even over 150.

Tmcc,
Combat sensors were at level-6 (out of 21 max) during my tests, providing a 15% bonus. Both ships in the tests I ran were level-3 Destroyers, rated at 22% defense.

Parasite,
PD Cannons have a max level of 100; at that level they would fire ten times per second at incoming missiles, doing 20-33 damage per hit. The missiles at max tech of 100 would have 230 hitpoints each, and -230% defensive bonus (on top of seeker defense bonus).
