Highest Possible Treaty Question
Hola Peoples, I'm currently dorking around with some AI files, and I was trying to limit the treaty making abilities of a race. There are two lines in one of the AI files, I can't remember which ones off hand, that limit the highest treaty possible for a race.
I have been able to put it at "Trade Alliance," or "None" and not get an error message, but for all the variations in the world, I can't seem to get it to accept "Non-aggression" in this field.
Just wondering if anyone else had any luck with this.

Re: Highest Possible Treaty Question
Are you spelling the treaty name right? Including capitalization? (I don't remember if it's supposed to be "Non-Aggression" or "Non Aggression" or "Non aggression" or "Non-aggression").

Re: Highest Possible Treaty Question
Yea, I'm pretty sure I've tried all of those...and then some. I made sure of the spelling, too. I wasn't sure if caps made a difference, but I am pretty sure I checked just in case.
Anyone try this mod before?

It works.. just use Non-Aggression. Non-Intercourse on the other hand does not work, or atleast i cant get it to work...

Re: Highest Possible Treaty Question
Non-Intercourse!!! They must be a pretty straightlaced (and boring) race

Re: Highest Possible Treaty Question
I'll have to give it another go, but I am sure I've written it "Non-Aggression" before.
Boring? Perhaps, but a nonintercourse race would either make war or keep its distance. The race I am working on has a pretty cranked-up anger file. Natural anger decrease is set to zero and everything else is slightly higher than normal. About the only thing that can keep them at bay, angerwise, is gift/tribute, which I've given a pretty high negative number. A little charity can go along way.
Only problem is after about 40 turns they are at war with everyone and begin to drop in score...in all four test games so far, they are #1 before turn 40 or so.
One other totally unrelated thing I've noticed in my test games is the fact that after about 40 turns, the Colonials have around 1000 units; whereas, its closest rival has maybe 200. Anyone else notice this. Worries me that the other AI's will have trouble tackling a race with so many units.

Re: Highest Possible Treaty Question
It would be boring for the teenagers at least, raging hormones and such , but I think a race like that may be interesting. An isolationist race.
In a large quadrant with time to develop it might not start as many wars to early.
About the Colonials, I noticed that too. I think a lot of their units are fighters and mines. Doesn't take long to get 100's of mine out there.
