SE5 demo cant play it
I got the UK PCGamer demo (I think) of SE5 any Im trying to play it on a dual core computer with plenty of RAM and I keep getting an exception error coming up. Sometimes it comes up as soon aas I start the demo and other times I can access the race setup screen but then the error comes up once I try to get into the game.
Is this my computer which is new and doesnt have problems with other software Ive seen yet, or is it that the demo is bugged in someway

Re: SE5 demo cant play it
Try downloading and installing the updated demo from MM:
Link to updated demo.
And if that does not work let us know.

Re: SE5 demo cant play it
It should also be possible to force windows to just use one core for SE5.

I am sure that Aaron at malfador.com would like to hear from you since you are using a dual core machine. Please drop him an email about the issues you are experiencing.

Re: SE5 demo cant play it
Dual core machines and SE5 don't always play nicely. Start SE5, press CTRL-ALT-DEL, go to the process tab, right click on SE5.exe, select Set Affinity, and deselect one of the cores.
That fixed the crashing issues with mine, anyway.

Re: SE5 demo cant play it
I'm having a problem too, but it is probably something stupid. I just downloaded it and am getting an access violation on start up. There are two errors: "EAccessViolation ... address 004788D3 at module "se5.exe"; and "... at address 00405928". My system meets all requirements but I am not very PC literate and I am not sure if my PC video card has 3D acceleration. It is a 64MB GeForced MX Graphics card. Anyone fimiliar or know where I could look it up? I also did not download the DirectX driver because I know I downloaded it before. If that's it, do I need to put the driver in one of the seV demo files? (hope I don't have to download the wgole program again)

Re: SE5 demo cant play it
Odd, I reinstalled it (tried v100 and v1.08) and it still didn't work (for both), went to settings and didn't change anything (couldn't)in the windows that did pop up, clicked on the lower buttons that didn't do anything, then... one last desperate try ... and it worked! Another PC mystery to me. So anyway, ignore my post above.
