The quick game organization thread
This is a thread to organize multiple-turns-in-one-sitting games, everything from duels to blitz start long term games. I'd recommend using the Dominions IRC channel while actually playing a game.
To start things off, I'll try to revive the traditional Sundays at 18:00 GMT games.
Settings:
All default but easy research
CB and worthy heroes mods
Map dependant on number of players
No set time limits
If you haven't played this kind of Dominions game before, it's easy to give it a try, just show up on the IRC channel around the start time, and someone is sure to walk you through joining the game.

Re: The quick game organization thread
Bump, so maybe a few more people see the thread before the start time.

Re: The quick game organization thread
Easy huh?
join IRC, get two mods, download them, load them in the game, then you can join.
Where are the mods at?
If I load mods, do ALL my games after that have to use those mods?

Well, easy if you get as far as logging onto the IRC channel anyway, as I said people there tend to be more than happy to answer those kinds of questions.
Mods are in no way permanent, you simply turn them flip them on or off in the options screen before starting a game.

Re: The quick game organization thread
It's actually VERY easy to get an IRC program, download & install the mods, etc. Folks in the IRC room will gladly help with setting someone up with the right mods, and playing a blitz in an afternoon is a great way to enjoy the game.

Well, you can also play a blitz without any mods. It's just that many of the players prefer to play with a mod or two. The IRC room is also a nice place to chew the Dominions 3 fat.

Re: The quick game organization thread
I'm not crapping on either one. The blitz games and the IRC channel are great. Just the word easy. Of all the ways to play dominion, even the email thing, I would say that this is the least easy.

Re: The quick game organization thread
I retract my earlier comments.
It is now pretty easy to get into the blitz channel with that link in the other thread. That is of course if you do not have a crappy windows computer with nothing but explorer for a browser.

Re: The quick game organization thread
Another bump to hopefully attract people for games this weekend. Also, just a note, almost all settings tend to be negotiable if someone feels strongly about them.
